We will take every precaution to ensure your pet has a happy and safe stay, but Melbourne Pet Minders will not accept responsibility for Canine Influenza, loss/escapes, injuries, illness or any kind of death. 3. In the event that it is necessary for the proprietors of Melbourne Pet Minders to seek veterinary assistance without the consent of the client who may be unavailable to provide such consent, then the client agrees that the cost of any procedure undertaken as a result will be their full and financial responsibility. 4. Under part (5) of the Domestic (Feral and Nuisance) Animal Act any animals that is not collected within 7 days of the nominated date will be disposed of at Melbourne Pet Minders discretion. All monies owing, including fees and costs relating to the disposal, shall be payable by the owner forthwith after receipt of Melbourne Pet Minders advice as to the amount thereof. If the costs are not paid as provided above, legal proceedings will be instituted without further notice. 5. A deposit as set by Melbourne Pet Minders is payable for each and every animal booked. If animals are boarded for more than 2 weeks their board must be paid in advance. If less than 2 weeks a 50% deposit is required. Deposits are non-refundable, except under exceptional circumstances and at the sole dicretion of Melbourne Pet Minders. 6. Melbourne Pet Minders reserve the right to refuse any animal and no reason shall be given. 7. The owner acknowledges that the signing of this contract shall create a lien over the animal in favour of Melbourne Pet Minders, this lien shall continue to exist while ever monies are owing pursuant to the contract. 8. The client specifically represents that he or she is the sole owner of the pet/s free and clear of all liens and encumbrances 9.
